Meet the Girls

Ashley

Ashley is loving, creative, and driven. She is currently a senior at the Moody Bible Institute where she is learning theology, biblical studies, and practical Christian ministry. She has a passion for studying and teaching God's Word.

When Ashley was in middle school she started reading the Bible every morning before class. She was determined to read the Bible cover to cover, and accomplished this goal after six years of faithfully reading every morning. It was during this time that God grew a strong desire within her heart to spend time with Jesus daily and to immerse herself into God's beautiful word.

Now, Ashley is determined to share her delight for God's word with the world. She desires to see many people come to know Jesus personally, to love His word, and to follow Him wholeheartedly.

Fun Facts

What do you do on your day off?

On my day off, I love resting at home. I fit the definition of "homebody" perfectly! I love painting while listening to classical music. In the winter, I delight in cozying up by the fire with a warm cup of coffee in one hand and a good book in the other. I also love spending time with my family and playing Dutch Blitz.

Who were the biggest influences in your life?

My mother influenced me the greatest with her kindness, love, and compassion. Every day she selflessly served us. She put our needs before her own, and made each one of her kids feel immensely special, valued, and loved.

I have also been greatly influenced by people I have never met: A.W. Tozer challenged me in my faith and how I seek God in his book The Pursuit of God. I was also greatly influenced missionally by Katie Davis from her book Kisses from Katie.
