Boho Photoshoot in Wisconsin Woods

Processed with VSCO with a7 preset

For the first few days of break, I loved relaxing and sleeping all day, but as you can imagine, that got old fast! So, since my family and I are up in Wisconsin for break, I just couldn’t resist taking photos in the beautiful scenery.

Boho Makeup and Clothes

As you will soon tell by the photos, I was in the mood for something I usually don’t go for- a boho theme. For the makeup we did a bold lip (Exotic from the Nyx Lip Lingerie collection) and darker eye look using the Tartlet in Bloom eye pallet. For clothing, we really couldn’t go all out considering it was 20 degrees, but, we used a floral shirt from American Eagle Outfitters, and a jacket from Forever 21. Location: Door County WI

Our favorite place other than home, is Door County. So, because we were up there for break, we decided we didn’t want to go anywhere other than our back yard to take the photos. So with that in mind, we just posed near a couple of photogenic trees I spotted when I went on a walk a few days prior.

Equipment and VSCO Filters!

For equipment, I used the Canon EOS 30D body. To start the photoshoot I used my 18-55mm lens, and then later switched to the 50mm 1.8 lens. For the VSCO filters, I mainly stuck to the filter A7, in order to maintain a steady theme throughout the photos. I slid the temperature up a couple of points, and gave the highlights a slight yellow tinge. Just a disclaimer, I did purchase the filter A7- it is not free.

Now, what you’ve probably been waiting for- the images!
